This house, the echo of my childhood, holds the heartbeat of my family’s story – a tapestry woven from countless journeys to discover beauty in distant lands. Each room and artefact carries the essence of our travels, imbued with love, history, and the magic of our shared experiences.

A retreat born from the whispered memories of sacred waters

Nestled in the famously beloved village of Saint-Rémy de provence, Mas Méjean is a hidden gem – precious, authentic and full of life. This traditional farmhouse, rooted in the ancient stories of a celtic water temple, is embraced by a magnificient garden and a vibrant, welcoming home.

The 350 year old plane tree stands proudly, watching over the south facade and casting its magical shade in summer ; it is the revered “grandfather” of the land.

The walls of the Mas, 50 cm thick, are built from the stones of Les-Baux-de-Provence, a distinctive, soft limestone with a warm, golden hue. Beyond their beauty, these ancient walls provide a profound sense of safety and protection, their solid grounding presence offering a deep connection to the land and its timeless embrace.

A flowing stream and the chorus of countless birds weave the rhythm of each day, fostering a profound connection to nature and the whole.

In winter, the immense chimney becomes the heart of the home, where gatherings have taken place for centuries. The memories of abundant love and joy linger, ever present in its enduring warmth.

Once a barn, the living room now serves as a heart of creativity, spanning 60 square meeters. It opens to the gardens, offering breathtaking views that inspire both tranquility and imagination.

Legend tells of a sacred source beneath the garden, once flowing through a water temple tended by three priestesses. These waters carried the prophecy of the healing temple. Though the temple is gone, the stream still whispers its ancient song.

The Surroundings

Le Mas Méjean is within walking distance of Saint-Rémy de Provence, steeped in Celtic, Greek and Romain lineage, a rich agricultural heritage and artistic flamboyance in the 70s. It lay at the foothills of the stunning Alpilles mountains, where the original sacred water streams come from. Saint-Rémy has been a crossroads of cultures for centuries, offering abundant resources to enrich any retreat program.

Our Accommodations

At Le Mas Méjean, we’ve nurtured the spirit of the ancient walls, attuning ourselves to the whispers of the land’s waters. The interiors weave a tapestry of treasures collected from my family’s travels, each piece telling its tale, accompanied by paintings from artists who joined us along the way. Here, you will be enveloped by the timeless charm and countless stories shared by the many souls who have passed through these walls.

Traditional architecture and interiors on the first floor, capable of hosting 14 guests, with 1 room for the retreat leader.

Four double rooms on the first floor, each with two single beds, offering flexibility for participants attached to 2 individual bathrooms.

Three extra rooms feature private entrances for added independence and comfort attached to 1 individual bathroom.

A dedicated retreat leader’s room with a cosy queen bed is used for rest and rejuvenation.

Vast ground floor in room succession

Family kitchen : An extraordinary chef will prepare Otto Lingui’s dishes alongside freshly baked French croissants every morning.

Dining room : Featuring a grand “Les Baux” stone fireplace, this space radiates warmth and magic, creating an atmosphere of inspiration and potential.

Living room : Once the barn of the farmhouse, this 80 sq.m room boasts large bay window overlooking the garden, seamlessly blending the vibrant energy of the palm tree with the serene presence of the underground stream.

Beautiful pool house : Ideal for morning meditations and yoga sessions with a view that will journey back home and keep the dream alive.

Outdoor oasis : With a 4500 sq.m majestic garden created in the 60’s offering a natural oasis for relaxation and reflections.

Sacred energy of the land : Glanum – Glanis and the Glanicaes

Glanum, with Celtic origins from the 6th – 3rd centuries BCE, was established by the salyes for its sacred springs. Over time, it evolved from a Greek settlement to a Roman oppidum. When Saint-Rémy was later built over its ruins, upon discovering ancient remains, many homeowners chose to remain silent to avoid construction disruption. They left the memory of the stone untouched.

The land where the mas now stands is said to have once been a water temple dedicated to the healing waters flowing from the Alpilles. According to a story, three priestesses’ souls remained bound to the land until 2023.

Here, every stone hums with ancient memory ; every tree whispers wisdom, and the land pulses with a sacred rhythm – an eternal presence of grace, power and healing.

The Mas Méjean is my childhood home — and the most natural culmination of a lifelong inquiry into how space, inner state, and beauty conspire to return us to ourselves.

For decades, I have worked at the intersection of art, design, and the body’s own intelligence, developing a body of work that now finds its fullest expression here.

This is a sanctuary designed with one intention: to suspend you in Grace, so you return to yourself and remember.
