Meet your host

Agathe Lazaro

For as long as I can remember, I have felt the living intelligence of spaces — the way a room breathes, holds, or quietly restores. I assumed everyone did. It was only when I watched people step into my shop in India and visibly soften — something in them releasing, brightening — that I understood: what felt natural to me was something I could offer.

That moment became a lifelong inquiry.

Born in France and shaped by decades in India, I began as a designer at the intersection of art, craft, and hospitality. I collaborated with pioneers in the field and created spaces such as La Maison Rose in Pondicherry — environments that moved people without them quite knowing why.

Over time, I understood why.

Space is not neutral.
Space and self are in constant conversation.
Beauty as Harmony is not decorative. It is a regulatory force.

This understanding expanded beyond design.

Suspend People in Grace

I saw that harmony moves in layers.

It begins in the body. Before we can inhabit a space fully, we must inhabit ourselves. Through active breathwork meditation, I guide rhythm back into the nervous system so coherence can return.

Harmony becomes relational. Through sensory intelligence work and energetic restoration, I help people understand how they perceive and interact with the world — restoring clarity and vitality.

And harmony takes physical form. Through Sanctum, I design and recalibrate homes, workspaces and wellness environments so they support focus, creativity and restoration rather than depletion.

My retreat centres in India and France are where these layers converge. They are not simply beautiful places, but living environments where body, relationship and space align — containers designed to allow rhythm to reset and perspective to widen.

At the heart of everything I create is one principle:
When harmony returns — within us and around us — life reorganises itself.

Detail about

Sensory intelligence / Biophilic Designs / Neurowise Blueprint

This is how we make sense of life—our Sensory Intelligence™ is hardwired into the brainstem, dictating how we perceive and respond to the world before we even think. The Reticular Activating System (RAS) and Thalamus are the brain’s first filters, deciding what matters—what keeps us safe, triggers stress, and fosters clarity. These primal mechanisms operate beneath awareness, yet they control everything from focus to emotional regulation.

Your reality isn’t shaped by what you think—it’s shaped by what you sense, and your brain sorts 80% of it without you even knowing.

Through the Matrix of Sensory intelligence, questionnaire and report, I assess the seven sensory thresholds of individuals and groups, tailoring environments to their unique neurobiology. By curating textures, colors, acoustics and spatial flow, I craft spaces that don’t just look good – They feel right, reducing stress, enhancing self-regulation and unlocking deep cognitive ease.

Sensory Intelligence™ isn’t optional—it’s the unseen force defining your reality every moment.

Though rooted in ancient wisdom, Biophilia was clinically proven in hospitals, where patients surrounded by nature recovered faster. This is no soft science—it is now a fundamental strategy in hospitality and corporate spaces to enhance well-being, focus, and resilience.

Why? Because our brainstem is approximately 500 Million years old, it is where sensory stimuli get sorted! We are still primal creatures, reacting to sensory stimuli based on survival instincts: green means water and water means life. A view means safety—spotting danger before it arrives. Fractal patterns signal growth, abundance, and evolution. These cues are not decorative but embedded in our biology, shaping our emotions, stress levels, and cognitive performance.

Biophilic design is not a luxury. It is a necessity—the invisible force regulating our nervous system, our health, and our ability to thrive.

From the teachings of Elisha Halpin and the Polyvagal Theory developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, I understood the profound interdependence between our nervous system and the environment. Our nervous system doesn’t just respond to the world—it relies on it.

Dr. Porges explains how sensory cues from our surroundings shape our autonomic responses—whether safety or stress—. Environments that promote safety activate the vagus nerve’s calming pathways, allowing us to heal and thrive. In contrast, others trigger stress and anxiety, shaping our emotional and physical state without us even realising it. Our nervous system doesn’t just respond to the world; it depends on it.

Simply put, our nervous system and the environment are in a symbiotic relationship, shaping who we are. Neuro-wise design is about shaping who we want to be by designing our environment and choosing how it impacts us.
